COVID-19 LOCKDOWN: DESOPADEC MD ASKIA DONATES FOOD ITEMS TO ISOKO NATION.

Moved by the need to alleviate the sufferings of the needy for the two weeks lockdown ordered by the Delta State Government to check the spread of the ravaging coronavirus, the MD/CEO of DESOPADEC, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, has presented Sundry Food Items to Isoko Nation as his contribution towards cushioning the effect of the Stay at Home orders of Government caused by the Corona Virus Pandemic.
Presenting the items which includes; bags of Rice, bags of Garri, Cartons of Indomie, Tubers of Yam, Gallons of Groundnut Oil, Bunches of Plaintain and the sum of N20,000 to the 22 Clans of Isoko for the purpose of transportation of the items to their various Communities for distribution.
Bashorun Askia Ogieh who is the President of Bashorun Askia Foundation while presenting the Items to the President General of Isoko Development Union (IDU) High Chief Iduh Amadhe and some Communities Presidents stressed the need for even distribution without Party or religious considerations. He also promised to, in a short while visit all the Orphanage Homes in Isoko to present Food Items to them.
As part of the efforts in the fight against Corona Virus Pandemic, the Bashorun Askia Foundation distributed 6,000 Hand Sanitizers to Isoko Nation.
In concluding his brief speech before the official presentation donated the sum of N500,000 to the Isoko Nation Committee on Relief Materials on Covid-19 headed by The Lord Bishop John Aruakpor.
The ALGON & Isoko South Chairman Sir Itiako Constantine Ikpokpo and his Isoko North counterpart Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor who joined in receiving the Food Items appreciated the kind gesture of Askia and prayed for more blessings to do more.
