Cleric Charges Christians to Pray for Nation

By Our Correspondent

Christians in the country have been charged to pray fervently for the nation to move forward.

The charge was given by Evangelist Chigozie Nmbeike during the women harvest/child dedication of baby Godspower Ikechukwu Kikenme at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Obiaruku.

Evangelist Chigozie admonished the congregation not to be afraid because God has given them power over every principality, adding that God has chosen them to be the light of the nation through which the world will see.

He enjoined Christians to always be their brothers keeper and avoid every form of envy, jealousy, hatred,  evil thought and deriving pleasures in the fall of others which will take one to hell.

He advised the congregation to always look onto God because God’s promises will surely come to pass,  “all you need is selfless service to God”, he stated.

Speaking with the press after the church service, Mr & Mrs Ogochukwu Kikenme expressed joy over the blessings of God upon the family, advising those that are yet to receive their own blessing to wait and be patient for God will never fail them.

Also speaking, the Vicar-in-Charge of St.  Peter’s, Rev.  Kenneth Uwaechine thanked God for the success of women’s harvest and the safe delivery of the child.
