By Francis Sadhere
To celebrate Nigeria’s Independence Day come October 1st, 2014, Christ Embassy Church is set to distribute its best selling daily devotional Bible guide, Rhapsody of Reality and the Bible to millions of Nigerians free.
Speaking to journalists at Christ Embassy Church, Warri, Pastor Yomi Morakiyo who represented the Zonal Pastor, Pastor Siji Dara, said the free distribution of the Bible and the daily devotional guide was their own way of spreading the good news across Nigeria and all over the world.
He said since the inception of the Reach Out Nigeria Project, which was initiated by Pastor Christ Oyekhilome, millions of the Rhapsody of Reality have been distributed across the country, adding that the daily devotional guide has touched many lives in Nigeria.
He added that the distribution of Bibles and the daily Bible devotional guide was targeted at giving the people the word of God, adding that it was only the word of God that can completely transform the people.
Pastor Dara reeled out some of its programmes to include youth resource centre built in Warri to help both young and old learn how to use computers to enhance their ICT knowledge.
He added that Nigeria is a blessed country with a lot of potential, urging all to focus on what they can do for the country to make the country a better.
He said Christ Embassy, apart from distributing Rhapsody of Reality to millions of Nigerian, has also embarked on several community development projects like provision of medical equipment to Hospitals, supply of furniture to schools, supply of books and uniforms to school and other projects.
He said the borehole project initiated last year at a riverine community in Warri Corner is near completion and that very soon the project will be commissioned and it will provide clean water for the community.
“I know some of you are already familiar with some of our projects. The borehole project at Warri Corner is near completion and very soon the community will start enjoying clean water which will also help in fighting the Ebola virus disease,” Pastor Dara said.
He added that to sustain the worship of God in Warri there is going to be a musical concert at the Warri City Stadium in October 1st, calling on all to join the project to make Nigeria a better place. He said renowned gospel music artist like Sinach, Bucchi and others will be invited.
He revealed that the church is also going to organize a football competition where different teams will come and showcase their talents.
He also called on Nigerians to re-channel their minds towards positive thinking and focus on possibility thinking, adding that they should eschew themselves from mediocrity and embrace diligence.
