Over 200 APC, LP Members decamp to PDP

The People’s Democratic Party PDP in Otibio Ward Isoko North Local Government Area recently witnessed the collapse of Factional Leadership to unite with the already existing Party executives of the party in a bid to foster unity and progress of the party at the grassroots level; even as over 200 persons of the All Progressive Congress APC and Labour Party respectively also defected from their parties to PDP in the ward.

Speaking, Prince Godwin Ogorugba PDP Chairman, Isoko North; the convener of the event however expressed delight over the thinking back philosophy of those coming back from their various party and the factional Excos.

He noted that PDP as a party have structures on ground that can take care of everybody emphasizing that, all party faithful at all level should work towards the victory of the party in all elections as a one big happy family under the indomitable umbrella of the party.

He assured the collapsed factional Excos and new comers of accommodation into leadership position to ensure that all grievances are buried to achieve a one goal.

Ogorugba who enjoined all party faithful to shun anti-party activities sued for oneness and called for reconciliation saying: “We need not to encourage factions. Those avoiding PDP due to one excuse, grievance or the other should come back as victory is sure for the party in all elections and as such the need to remain focus is paramount” and had announced the final burial of parallel constituted body in Otibio Ward.

Okpoho Isreal, Okih Edegware formerly of APC in a press chat disclosed that, they left APC for PDP because APC is dead and that PDP is existing and original.

Also Etakibuebu Edwin and Odhudhu Isaac formerly of Factional Excos said their actions were to get attention and address the issue of negligence that everybody is important in the party adding that their coming back is for the progress of the party even as Emiowhe Samuel said that he brought 7 persons from the other parties to join the PDP train in the ward.

Meanwhile, Mr Sunday Ejoke, the Chairman of PDP Otibio Ward also expressed gratitude over the development stating that Otibio Ward is made up of Aziaro, Eniagbedhi, Erawa and Otie urging all to keep faith with the party.

He advised those that were welcomed to the party to be of good conduct assuring them many benefits as is accrued to PDP members just as he commended all for their time and commitment to the progress of the party in the Ward.
