Atiku’s Ex-Ally, Chief Eze to Governor Wike: “Apologize to Atiku, Saraki, Amaechi & Others over Collapsed Road and Commissioning of Amaechi’s Project”
Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze an ex-ally to erstwhile Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar GCON, the Waziri Adamawa as he was the foundation National Spokesperson of the famous Turaki Vanguard the major political pressure platform of the former Vice President when his struggle with General Olusegun Obasanjo was at its peak.
Chief Eze whose threat to mobilise one million youths against the then President Olusegun Obasanjo when he threaten to depose off the then Vice President Atiku Abubakar in 2006 caused General Obasanjo to summon an emergency National Security meeting reiterated that it was a huge embarrassment and a slight on the person and stature of the former Vice President for Governor Nyesom Wike to invite him to commission a road project that was not only poorly executed but could be washed away by a five minute down pour.
The Media Icon who was the National Spokesperson of the defunct New Peoples Democrat Party nPDP noted that, “This road project of about a quarter kilometre in Omueke in Isiokpo LGA without a known contract sum and proper drainage and earth work was washed away by a five minute rains, after it was commissioned by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar on June 21, 2018 thereby wasting the hard earned scarce funds of the State.
Chief Eze who stated that not minding that Atiku Abubakar have left him in APC and rejoined PDP, a party he was one of the founding fathers but have caused him much grief and for Governor Wike to continue with this mischievous act to slight the Waziri Adamawa is not any act he could condone easily.
He therefore suggested to Chief Nyesom Wike to formally apologize to the former Vice President and stop such act of embarrassing “some of our political and religious leaders by inviting them to commission poorly executed projects or projects earlier completed and commissioned by his predecessor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi.”
“It is unfortunate that every single rain in Rivers State these days washes off most of the fake projects of Governor Nyesom Wike including some of the internal roads in Ogbunabali community in the heart of Port Harcourt City, Okeh avenue off Eastern bypass” Chief Eze regretted.
The APC Chieftain expressed sadness and disenchantment that Wike seems not to be satisfied with the embarrassment caused on Atiku but went ahead to invite and embarrass the Senate President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr Bukola Saraki to commission a road initiated by the administration of Ada George, commenced by the administration of Dr Peter Odili and completed by the golden administration of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. These acts of re-commissioning projects already completed by his predecessors have become the hallmark of the administration of Governor Wike and it is unfortunate and condemnable.
Continuing he said: “The long stretch of road(18.1km) from the Airport to NTA road which Wike only provided plants, barbed wire and the street lights was first conceived by Gov Ada George, commenced by Gov Peter Odili, constructed by Gov Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi and for Wike to claim credit for constructing the road is unfortunate, unacceptable and condemnable. The Senate President need to be apologized to accordingly
“The other day, the Speaker of the House of Represntatives, Yakuubu Dogara was invited to commission a bridge completed by the administration of Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. Why Wike should embark upon such fraudulent acts of deceiving the public by claiming completing projects earlier completed by his predecessors leaves sour taste in my mouth, Eze lamented.
Chief Eze finally suggested to his friend, Governor Nyesom Wike to formally apologize to these notable leaders for deceiving them to commission projects which were not executed by his administration and save Rivers State from further embarrassment which has become the hallmark of his administration.
