ASKIA FOUNDATION PRESENTS FOOD ITEMS TO KEKE, OKADA RIDERS, NON-INDIGENES IN ISOKO NATION

In a determined bid to help cushion the effect of the lockdown occasioned by the Corona Virus Pandemic, Bashorun Askia Foundation has presented food Items to Delta State Commercial Motorcycle & Tricycle Operators Association popularly known as Okada and Keke Riders, and Non-Indigenes in Isoko South and North Local Government Areas of Delta State.

The presentation which was took place at Isoko Development Union (IDU) national Secretariat, Oleh Roundabout, was done by Odio Askia Ogieh, President, Bashorun Askia Foundation and items presented includes; bags of rice, cartoons of indomie noodles, gallons of groundnut oil, bags of garri and beans.

Speaking during the presentation, Bashorun Askia Ogieh, Managing Director, Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission DESOPADEC) said that the presentation was done to help cushion the effect of the lockdown caused by the Corona Virus Pandemic in Isoko nation.

Speaking on behalf of Okada and Keke Riders, Chairman, Isoko North Chapter of the Association Comr. Aboma Victor expressed appreciation for the kind gesture and prayed for God’s blessing.

The brief ceremony had in attendance Chief Iduh Amadhe, President, Isoko Development Union(IDU), Members representing Isoko South Constituency I and II at the Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Kenneth Ogba and Hon. Ferguson Ajiroghene Onwo, Isoko North Local Government Council Chairman, Hon Emmanuel Egbabor and his Isoko South Counterpart, Hon Malik Ikpokpo represented by the Secretary to Local Government, Mr Obrogo Dennis Kola, among others.

The Foundation also presented 100 bags of Rice, 100 Cartons of Indomie Noodles and 100 Gallons of Groundnut Oil to the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Isoko South and North LGA which was received by His Lord Bishop of Oleh Diocese Bishop John Aruakpor with prayers from the clergymen present.

On his part, the President General of IDU, High Chief Iduh Amadhe on behalf of Isoko People expressed appreciation to the DESOPADEC MD/CEO, he prayed God to grant him good health and wisdom to carry on.
