RED CROSS MAKES OKOBARO LIFE ASSOCIATE MEMBER

Nigeria Red Cross Society has conferred the Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom, HRM Matthew Ediri Egbi (JP), Owawha 11, as a Life a Associate Member of the organization.
The ceremony which took place at his palace in Otu-Jeremi, Ughelli South Local Government Area of Delta State, had in attendance various Red Cross commanders across the state, led by the Delta State chapter Chairman, Com. Prince Olasupo Victor.
Decorating the monarch, Com. Olasupo disclosed that the Nigeria Red Cross Society is an international organization that gives humanitarian services to the society, he described the monarch as a Red Cross member in character adding that his humanitarian support to the society and the roles he played during the ravaging flood in the country two years ago have earned him the honour as a life associate member of the Nigeria Red Cross Society.
While congratulating the Okobaro of Ughievwen kingdom on his successful enthronement to the throne as king, Com. Olasupo prayed God to give the monarch wisdom to pilot the affairs of the kingdom in a bid to move the kingdom to higher heights.
The Delta State chairman of Red Cross Society also disclosed that the State Chapter of the Society will be having their youth camp at Ughelli during the week saying that the organization has been on a familiarization tour to various stakeholders in the area informing them of their activities and further expansion of the organization operations in their various communities.
In his brief remarks, HRM Egbi, Owawha 11, Okobaro of Ughievwen Kingdom said the honour done him will spur him to do more to the benefit of mankind and to the glory of God, he gave his nod to a better and more fruitful collaboration between his Kingdom and Red Cross Society.
Present at the ceremony were Olorogun (Elder) Benson Itietie, Secretary, Ughievwen Traditional Council of Chiefs and his amiable wife, Olorogun Edafe Eddy among many others.
