Amori has genuine interest of Urhobos at heart – Ahwinawi

The member representing Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, Hon. Solomon Ahwinahwi has said that Chief Ighoyota Amori is a leader with the love and interest of Urhobo at heart.
Hon Ahwinahwi stated this on Friday while playing host to Chief Ighoyota Amori and members of his Senatorial Campaign Organisation at his GRA Effurun residence.
Hon Ahwinahwi noted that Chief Amori made a lot of impact on the politics of the country during his brief stay at the Senate, stressing that Urhobo nation would have benefited a lot if the judiciary had not cut short his tenure.
The Federal lawmaker noted that the art and science of law making require experience and team play, which Chief Amori abundantly possesses.
He pledged his support for Chief Amori’s senatorial bid, noting that they will form an awesome pair at the National Assembly that will chart an indomitable course for the common good of Urhoboland.
Hon. Ahwinahwi who restated his intention to return to the House of Representatives in 2019, highlighted the benefits of his return for his constituents.
He explained, among other things, that, if given the mandate, he would become a ranking member of the House which will enable him chair a Grade A committee, influence development projects and facilitate employments as well as appointments to the federal constituency.
Hon. Ahwinahwi used the opportunity to commend Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for his development efforts across the state, especially in Delta Central Senatorial District.
He pledged to mobilise his constituents to vote for Governor Okowa, Chief Ighoyota Amori and all other PDP candidates in the 2019 general elections.
Earlier, Chief Ighoyota Amori commended Hon. Awhinawhi for the hosting, which he termed as special, describing his achievements at the House of Representatives as unprecedented.
Chief Amori who described Hon. Ahwinahwi as a true political sportsman and silent operator, commended the lawmaker for attracting many projects to his constituency.
The Senatorial aspirant added that several youths and women from Ughelli-Udu Federal Constituency had benefited from the empowerment programmes of Hon. Solomon Ahwinahwi while several others benefited from Federal employments and appointments.
He urged the people of Ughelli North/Ughelli South/Udu Federal Constituency to support his senatorial ambition and the return of Hon. Ahwinahwi to the House, to enable them form a dependable alliance for the betterment and upliftment of Urhobo Nation.
For their parts, Chief John Egbetama from Udu LGA, Prince Dase Macaulay from Ughelli South LGA, Chief Moses Irabor, Dr. Isaac Akpoveta and Prof. Patrick Muoboghare as well as a representative of the youths, Comrade Rex Anighoro, expressed the support of their people for the senatorial ambition of Chief Ighoyota Amori and the re-election of Hon. Solomon Ahwinahwi come 2019, noting that together they would deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
The ceremony was attended by political stalwarts of the PDP from Ughelli North, Ughelli South and Udu LGAs.
