The Governor praised the Agbor-born business mogul for his outstanding role in transforming the nation’s financial sector through innovation, sound leadership and commitment to excellence.
Rt. Hon. Oborevwori also acknowledged Dr. Ovia’s contributions beyond banking, particularly his investments in education, entrepreneurship and security, as well as his efforts to empower young people through philanthropy.
He noted that Dr. Ovia’s remarkable career and achievements have brought honour to Delta State and Nigeria, while inspiring generations of entrepreneurs and professionals.
According to the Governor, “on behalf of the government and people of Delta State, I congratulate our dear elder statesman, Dr. Jim Ovia, CFR, on the occasion of his 75th birth anniversary on November 4.
