Rt. Hon. Emomotimi Dennis Guwor, Speaker of Delta State House of Assembly and Chairman Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures in Nigeria has rejoiced with HRM Pere Monbene III, Amaokosu of Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom on the occasion of his 11th Coronation Anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.
In a congratulatory message to the revered monarch signed by Nkem Nwaeke, Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Guwor described the 11-year reign of Pere Monbene III as impactful, peaceful and development-driven.
Rt. Hon. Guwor noted that HRM Monbene III has remained a symbol of unity and cultural pride for the Ogbe-Ijoh people, the entire Ijaw Nation and Delta State at large.
According to Rt. Hon. Guwor, “Your Majesty, your reign in the last eleven years has fostered peaceful co-existence among ethnic nationalities in your Kingdom and beyond.
“You have led with rare humility, wisdom, patience and uncommon grace, deploying your exalted throne as a veritable platform for the promotion of culture, development and the dignity of your people”.
The Speaker noted that Ogbe-Ijoh, headquarters of Warri South-West Local Government Council has witnessed remarkable stability and progress under the monarch’s leadership, adding that his fatherly counsel and advocacy for peace in the Niger Delta are well acknowledged and appreciated.
“As Speaker and Member Representing Warri South-West Constituency, I am proud of your contributions to peace-building and your consistent support for good governance in Delta State. You are a Royal Father whose voice continues to promote unity, mutual respect and harmonious living among our people”.
Rt. Hon. Guwor prayed that God will continue to grant His Majesty long life, sound health, divine wisdom and enduring grace to lead the Ogbe-Ijoh Warri Kingdom to greater heights of prosperity and honour.
He wished the Kingdom a colourful and memorable anniversary celebration.
