His Royal Majesty, Albert Akpomudje, SAN, Eyavwien-Alaka I, the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom, has commenced a tour of communities across the kingdom as part of activities leading up to the first anniversary of his coronation.
The community tour, which began on Thursday, is aimed at strengthening the relationship between the traditional institution and the people of Olomu Kingdom.
During the tour, the monarch is expected to visit various communities where he will interact with chiefs, elders, youths, women and other residents, as well as listen to their concerns and receive feedback on issues affecting their communities.
The announcement was made by the Ohworode during an interaction with journalists shortly after a general meeting of chiefs and community leaders.
The visits are also expected to provide the monarch with an opportunity to familiarise himself further with the people of the kingdom and assess developments across the various communities.
Community leaders and residents are expected to receive the Ohworode during the visits and express their appreciation for his leadership and efforts towards promoting the development and unity of Olomu Kingdom.
The monarch’s first coronation anniversary, scheduled for November, is expected to provide an opportunity for indigenes and friends of the kingdom to celebrate his reign and reflect on developments since his ascension to the traditional throne.
The ongoing community tour is consequently being regarded as an important component of the anniversary activities, with the monarch expected to use the visits to reaffirm his commitment to peace, unity, cultural preservation and sustainable development in the kingdom.
The tour is expected to continue until September as Olomu Kingdom prepares for the grand celebration of the first anniversary of the coronation of HRM Albert Akpomudje, SAN.
The anniversary celebration is expected to attract traditional rulers, government officials, political leaders, dignitaries, indigenes of Olomu Kingdom and friends of the kingdom.
