Christians have been called upon to walk, work in love, unity, peace and reflect on the selfless life times of Jesus Christ who lived and died for mankind with a view to move Nigeria to greater heights.
This call was made by Rev. Joseph P. Oyibo, General Overseer, City of Faith Bible Living Church Inc, Udu, near Warri on the occasion of Easter celebration, he said that the love, humility and tenderness exhibited by Christ during His time if emulated by Nigerians, the country would have been a far better place for all than what it is now.
Rev. Oyibo said that it is important for all to remain united in love for the country to move forward, he solicited the support and cooperation of Nigerians for the President Bola Tinubu led administration to enable him deliver on his mandate of Renewed Hope for all, adding, “a divided house cannot stand. President Tinubu cannot do it alone, let’s give him the much needed support for a better Nigeria.”
The General Overseer of City of Faith Bible Living Church Inc extends best wishes to Nigerians especially those Christians who are being killed in Benue, Plateau states and other parts of the country, he commiserated with the bereaved and called on government to ensure that those behind these dastard acts are made to face the full wrath of the law.
According to Rev. Oyibo, “without equivocation, we condemn the incessant and brutal killings of Christians in parts of the country. Government should rise up to protect the people, put an end to these negative acts and ensure that those involved in such wicked acts are not allowed to go unpunished. I charge those being persecuted to remain relentless and be strong in the faith.”
Rev. Oyibo said, “it is advisable for Nigerians to walk in love, peace and unity. The work Jesus Christ have done is to bring peace, love and harmony which have to do with Salvation of souls of men. John 3: 16, emphasizes God’s love for the world. I also encourage all sects to preach love, peace and unity.”
On Easter, he said it is a time for love, sharing and giving sacrificially.
I pray that may the sacrifice of Christ remind us of God’s unfailing love and grace. May the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ bring us peace, forgiveness, and Renewed hope.”
