OEF Solicits Cooperation Of Oghara Sons, Daughters To Move Kingdom To Greater Heights

Oghara sons and daughters at home and in diaspora have been called upon to join hands with one another as well the Oghara Elite Forum(OEF). foremost socio-cultural organization in the Kingdom to enhance the socio-economic as well as the cultural advancement of the people.
This call was made by Dr. Jacob E. Ighere, President General, Oghara Elite Forum (OEF) during the inauguration ceremony of the new executive elected to pilot the affairs of the Forum for the next three years , he prayed God to enable his administration make milestone achievements.
Dr. Ighere disclosed that the Forum was founded 24 years ago with “the selfless mandate to pursue the socio-economic development of members and Oghara Kingdom, the educational development and opportunities of the Kingdom, the peaceful co-existence of the Kingdom, political mobilization, and justice and FairPlay in all human endeavors for the people of Oghara in particular and the State/Nation in general.”
The newly inaugurated President General of the Forum then solicited the support and cooperation of major stakeholders, political appointees and all sons and daughters of Oghara Kingdom to ensure the new executive delivers on their mandate.
According to Dr. Ighere, “it is my earnest prayer and desire,that in my time, OEF will make milestone achievements such as fostering peace among our youths, seek scholarships and educational and job opportunities for our children and people, pursue cohesion among the two major sections of Oghara among other glaring needs. I am hereby soliciting the assistance of my able and capable Oghara sons and daughters home and in diaspora to help us deliver our selfless mandates for the good of Oghara Kingdom.”
He added, “some of our needs are cooperation, moral supports and encouragement from all relevant power brokers, agencies and ruling class in Oghara and beyond to help us deliver our selfless mandates for the good and progress of our people. My humble but passionate request to HRM Noble Eshemitan, Orefe 111, Ovie of Oghara Kingdom and his Council of Chiefs is give us, OEF a land to build a befitting Secretariat for the Forum.”
In his address, Olorogun Emmanuel Okpako Ganiga, London based legal icon who was chairman of the ceremony charged the new executive to work assiduously in collaboration with stakeholders and Oghara people to ensure that the selfless mandate of moving Oghara to much more enviable heights is achieved.
Olorogun Ganiga who was represented by Dr.Ben Rollands Igbakpa, immediate past Member, House of Representatives (Ethiope Federal Constituency) assured the Forum of his collaboration with them whenever the need arises.
Speaking in his capacity as member of the Forum, Dr. Igbakpa called on the Dr. Ighere led Forum to rise up to the challenge of returning Oghara to its lost political glory, adding, “time it was when Oghara was at the top politically but now Oghara has lost its privileged position politically. There must be genuine reconciliation politically for Oghara to move on and the Forum has to act on it.”
Also speaking, Chief Joseph Ogunje, immediate past President General of the Forum charged his successor and the Forum to focus more on the issues of children dropping out of school and high rate of youths involvement in drugs.
He expressed his confidence on Dr. Ighere’s capability to pilot aright the affairs of the Forum, adding, “I know that Dr. Ighere can leverage on his experience as an astute academician to ignite and drive meaningful change in Oghara Kingdom.”
Delivering his Royal advise, HRM Noble Eshemitan, Orefe 111, Ovie of Oghara Kingdom represented by Dr. Frank Emiko, Secretary, The Palace of Ovie of Oghara Kingdom congratulated the new executive and charged them to ensure the preservation and respect of/for the culture of Oghara Kingdom
