Unity of purpose among the three ethnic groups of Urhobo, Itsekiri and Ijaw as well as other stakeholders in Warri will be re-invigorated through strategic collaboration amongst all to make the once ever vibrant oil city regain it’s lost glory.
This was disclosed by Comr. Agbateyiniro Weyinmi Isaac, Chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for Warri South Local Government Area in the July 13, 2024 Local Government Election in Delta State while unveiling his manifestos for the election, he solicited the vote of all
Comr. Agbateyiniro said the three major ethnic groups and others in the area are one, adding that if the degree of animosity and suspicion is allowed to thrive, overall development of the area would be an illusion, he then called on all to work together, collaborate and put all hands on deck to support him if given the mandate to be the chairman of the Council to in order to restore the once bubbling oil city to her lost glory.
Comr. Agbateyiniro titled his Programme of manifesto, “The M-O-R-E. G. R. A. C. E. Agenda which accordng to him would launch Warri City and all it’s adjourning rural communities into major lime light through rapid development, robost economy, empowerment programmes, enhanced capacity building, giving room for superior ideas as ideas now rule the world if given the mandate to become the Council Chairman come Saturday, July 13, 2024.
Giving breakdown of his agenda, the PDP Chairmanship candidate for Warri South Local Government Area disclosed that the letter “G” stands for his aggressive work for growth and development of the area, the “R” will be for radical approach for overall rural development, saying that “A” is to revolutionize agriculture because agriculture now rules the world while the letter “C” would be for his administration determined approach to assiduously encourage commerce and industry and the letter “E’ is for enhanced peace and security.
While assuring the people of Warri South Local Government Area of improved security situation if elected as Chairman of the Council, Comr. Agbateyiniro promised that unemployment which was caused by the animosity among the ethnic groups would be a thing of the past as he would collaborate with stakeholders to create an enabling environment for commerce and businesses to thrive once again.
Accordng to Comr. Agbateyiniro, “the growth and development of small and medium enterprises as the backbone of any economy would be emphasized. Our administration if voted in shall work assiduously with relevant stakeholders to initiate policies that will promote and catalyse the growth and development of the economy of the local government area”.
He assured the people of Warri South Local Government Area that if voted into office, he and his running mate, Hon. Kingsley Edafiadjebre, will revolutionize Warri South Local Government Area and ensure that every entitlement of Warri South, regarding job and development and other dividends of democracy will be attracted to the council area.
In his remarks, Ada-Val Areyenka, Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Delta State who represented Chief Kingsley Esiso, State chairman of the Party described Comr. Agbateyiniro and his running mate, Hon. Edafiadjebre as good pair for Warri South, he praised Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, “for his stabilizing factor in actualizing good governance in the state.”
Highlight of the ceremony was the unveiling of the manifesto booklet to the admiration of the people by Areyenka Esq.
