Okotie-Eboh Lauds Tinubu’s Directive to Ministers.

By Emma Arubi

Prince Emmanuel Okotie-Eboh has lauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s directive to the 47 Ministers to render account of their stewardship in this administration to mark his one year in office.

The ex-regent of Warri Kingdom who charged President Tinubu to do away with non-performing Ministers by immediately replacing them in line with his “Renewed Hope” agenda however commended the board of the NDDC for charting a new sustainable development path targeted at a pragmatic execution of peoples’ oriented hopes and aspirations.

Okotie-Eboh, a scion of Nigeria first Finance minister, Chief Festus S. Okotie-Eboh said the score card as reported by the internationally reputed Fitch – a global credit rating agency-alone speaks volume of the administration’s positive outlook even as it is a reflection of Tinubu’s transparency and confidence on the nation’s economy in the comity of nations.

Specifically, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, and former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike and his wonderful performance at pursing the Federal Government plans for the FCT is worth commending just as the on-going pursuit of the critical Lagos – Calendar Coastal Highway project intended to connect that massive stretch of land and sea to create Jobs, employment opportunities, economic and industrial growth stand out as a landmark legacy of the one year of the president Tinubu administration.

The new face of development by the NDDC also put the Niger Delta Ministry and minister in good stead in the one year under review as the managing Director is not resting on his oars to take the intervensionist agency to the much desired level across the once restive region.

This is even as the Presidential Amnesty programmes has ensured that the oil-rich region and the youths are gainfully engaged and enjoying the dividends of democracy.

Under the Tinubu administration, the nation has witness huge blockage of pipeline vandization. The surveillance contract awarded to very competent contractors and thus ensuring good revenue source accruing to the FG.

In other words, if other ministers can work assiduously as Nysom Wike, Dave Unuahi and Engr. Abubakar Momoh respectively the Tinubu Government under this one year in office could be said to be far above average. And if there are Ministers not seen to be up and doing, they should be shown the way out to make way for competent hands to replace them.
