 ILAJE COMMUNITIES NEED OUR OWN FAIR SHARE OF BENEFITS ON THE OGIDIGBEN EXPORT PROCESSING ZONE (EPZ) PROJECT

 The Ilaje Communities of Egbe-Okuta Fishing Port, Ilesanmi, Ago-Ilaje, Ago-Tophas, Coastain, etc, under the auspices of the Concerned Ilaje Coastal Communities Trust Foundation (CICCTF), and as a stakeholder on the Export Processing Zone, EPZ Project, needs our own fair share of benefits.

After the Itsekiris, in Ugborodo, the Ilajes are the next directly affected by the EPZ project in the above communities. But because we are peace loving, the Ilajes are not adequately considered even with the current activities of bush clearing going on by Julius Berger on the EPZ Project site.

Therefore, we want the Honourable Minister to quickly intervene and make adequate provision for Ilajes who will not continue to fold their hands for the injustice but to resist continual denial.

Nevertheless, we want to appreciate the President, Federal Republic of Nigeria, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GCFR, the NNPC and Delta State Government for the initiative of the EPZ Project.
