POLLS: PDP WILL RECLAIM EDO- HON. EGBONYINMA

Member representing Egor/Ikpoba Okha Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Ehizogie Johnson Agbonayinma has emphatically pointed come 2016 PDP will re-claim Edo State.
Agbonayinma who stated this while speaking to journalist in Benin, said the overwhelming victory recorded by the party at the just concluded Presidential Election in the State, shows that the party is fully on the ground and waxing stronger by the day, adding that he has no doubt,that the party is fully prepared to take over the seat of power in Dennis Osadebe Avenue.
Agbonayinma who also used the medium to dispel the rumour making round that he is decamping from the PDP to APC or any other political party, stressed that he remains a devoted and loyal PDP member on which platform he has contested and he is representing the people at the National Assembly.
He pointed out that perhaps it is his closeness to the speaker that is making people think that he wants to defect, adding that his closeness to Mr. speaker was all about bringing the dividends of democracy to the people in his constituency.
While emphasizing his loyalty to his party, the honorable member said that the rumour is baseless and unfounded and should be disregarded in its entirety.
Further, EJ as he is fondly called by his acolytes, called for true change in reevaluating those around us to get a genuine change.
Although he maintained that it takes the collective effort everyone to bring about the desired change that the country is yearning for, added that it doesn’t matter what party is in power provided things turn around for the better for the people of the country.
In fighting corruption, he pointed out that the searchlight should not be directed towards the politicians alone but also the civil servant, corporate business leaders, churches and mosques leaders, adding that corruption is everywhere.
While applauding the present administration in this regards, he however urged the president to be aware of sycophants that are out to distract him in his quest to fighting the scourge, adding that he is not the president of APC but president of Nigerians.
Hon. Ehizogie who also dwelled on the need for corporate social responsibility (CSR) by corporate organizations in his constituency, Egor/Ikpoba-okha federal constituency said more still needed to be done by these organizations.
He assured the people of his constituency of his total commitments to their mandate, enjoining them and Nigerians to be good ambassadors of this great country saying, ‘’if you don’t value what you have, someone will help to devalue it for you,”
