The petitions which were filed by the All Progressive Congress candidate, Okaba Kelvin Preye, and the Labour Party candidate, Boboangor Kiapene, were dismissed for lack of merit having failed to file their petitions within the ambit of the law as required by the electoral act among other sufficient grounds.

Reacting to the tribunal rulings, Hon Oboro Preyor, described his victory as victory for the people of Bomadi Constituency which he represents at the Delta State House of Assembly.

The lawmaker, who is also the Deputy Majority Leader in the State House of Assembly, assured his constituents that he would remain focused and perform even better than his first term in terms of representation and empowerment.

While stressing that the victory would enable him settle down fully to his legislative duties as litigations were bringing distraction, Preyor noted that the people would remain paramount in his agenda and thanked the people for their support before, during and after the election.

Also speaking, a PDP stalwart and aide to the lawmaker from Bomadi constituency, Mr. Richard Koki, while appreciating God for the electoral Victory of Preyor, said the lawmaker was the first state representative from Bomadi to be elevated to a principal officer in the House.

He called on Hon Preyor’s opponents to join hands with him in attracting development to the area describing him as a thorough grassroots politician that is widely accepted by the people.

Koki noted that the achievements of Hon Preyor were unrivalled in term of debates, committee assisgnmemts and empowerment in Bomadi constituency seat in the state House of Assembly.
