Two MOPOL Killed By Suspected Armed Robbers In Warri

TWO mobile Policemen were today gunned down in the oil-rich city of Warri, Delta State by suspected armed robbers
Our Correspondent gathered from a reliable source that the two MOPOL attached to the JTF were shot by the gunmen by the gate of Our Lady’s High School, Airport Junction, Effurun.
According to the source, the two slain MOPOL on mufti were coming from one of the new generation banks in the area and were being driven in KEKE when the gunmen also operating on KEKE accosted them,shot at them and allegedly made away with their money.
It was also gathered that one of the Mobil Policemen died on the spot and the one rushed to the Central Hospital Warri gave up the ghost in the hospital when doctors were battling to save him.
When contacted on telephone at about 5.30pm, the Divisional Police Officer for Enerhen Police Division, declined comments.
The State Police image maker, DSP. Celestina Kalu did not respond to calls by Our Correspondent at about 6.18pm.
But sources close to the Police confirmed the incident, describing it as very unfortunate.
