Native Doctor Stabbed to death Over Domestic Brawl in Benin

A 44-year-old native doctor has been stabbed to death in Benin City.
The victim identified simply as Owe was allegedly stabbed in the chest by a lady during a domestic brawl in his residence opposite Use Market Road Junction, Upper Siluko Road, Benin City, last Friday.
It gathered that, the lady was said to be a friend of the victim’s second wife and a guest in that house.
The lady (name withheld) is now in police custody in Benin City.
The Public Relations Officer for Edo Police Command DSP Stephen Onwochei said, full scale investigation has commenced.
Onwochei disclosed that the attacker turned herself to the police after the dastardly act.
The Juju shrine of the deceased native doctor suffered desertion when our reporter visited last weekend.
It was also gathered that trouble started on that faithful Friday when the deceased did not meet his second wife at home after he returned from his third wife residence where he spent the night.
She was said to have gone to Lagos Street for shopping. On her return the native doctor allegedly became enraged, locked main door as he declared war on his second wife.
Sources hinted that the intervention of other persons who were in the apartment as the violence ranged could not placate his anger, but got extended to his sister in-law, instead.
Amid the mêlée and danger, the embattled lady allegedly ran to the kitchen, picked a knife with which she stabbed the native doctor, her friend’s lovely husband to death.
