A CHISTIAN WITHOUT PVC IS A SINNER – CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY TELL NIGERIANS
The Delta State Christian Community have advised their members to get register so that they can obtain their PVC to enable them vote candidates of their Choice in the forth coming general elections.
The group said Christians without voters card who have not explored the continuous voters registration exercise are sinners.
The Christian Community enlarged state committee in conjunction with the office of the Executive Assistant to the Governor on Religious matter led by Bishop Malagwu at Ika, North East and Ika South local government Areas said Christians should be in the frontline of permanent voter’s card (PVC) registration emphasizing strongly that any Christian who had attained 18 years without PVC is a sinner based on the provision of James 4:17.
The Christian Community which had their prayer and courtesy visit to local government councils in the state said the task is a must for all Christians who want to make heaven and wanted a truly established government here on earth.
The Executive Assistant to the Governor on Religious matters, Bishop Greatman Nmalagu who read from various portions of the scripture called for total loyalty, unity and forgiveness among themselves in the council to enable them attract the blessings of God Almighty.
He warned all to avoid plotting against any of the chairman of the Council so as not to attract divine damnation as stated in Romans 13:12, just as he commended a daily praying lifestyle in the council that will bring all in the council leadership and staff closer to God.
Earlier, the president of the Christian Community in the state, Rev. Dr. Okonye Cyril, Commended the chairmen and entire councils community for the large turnout in both local government areas.
He added that mere obtaining the PVC with no intention to use it to vote is also sin stressing that PVC is primarily for voting and not mere identity card for banking purposes or other means of identification.
Okoye also went further to state that politics is a noble career and
should not be labeled “bad” by some Christians rather Christians should be well encouraged to participate actively in politics to fulfill the biblical injunction that states ” When the Righteous are in power the people rejoice”
Responding, the chairmen of Ika North East local government Areas, Hon. (Barr) Eboka and his Ika South counterpart Hon. (Barr) Victor Okoh, ably represented by the Vice Chairmen, Hon. (Mrs.) Anasia and (Mrs) Agboma Patience respectively in their separate remarks thanked the leadership of the Christian Community for this broad initiatives.
they commended the awareness for all Christians not only to obtain the PVC, but to use it wisely.
According to them, this effort by the Christian Community in conjunction with the office of the Executive Assistant to the Governor Religious matters is making the job easier for the political class and sued for its sustainability.
Present at the meeting were Chairman of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Pentecostal fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), CCN, OAIC from both local government areas, Pst (Dr) Wewe, Rev. Israel Chima, Israel Bishop T. Oghen, member state Advisory bored among others.The event climaxed with a prayer and anointing session.
