Benin Crown Prince Confers Titles On Wives

The Crown Prince of Benin kingdom who is also the Edaiken N’ Uselu,Prince Eheneden Erediauwa, has conferred titles on his wives also known as the Oloi N’ Erie.
The conferment of the title is part of the on-going 14- day Iyan-Ehienwhich is supervised by the Ogbe group under the leadership of IhamaN’Ogbe performed by the Crown Prince before he ascends the thrown.
It was learnt that, the highest level of chieftaincy rites was performed as a gateway for high spiritual attainment with Palace chiefs that performed the Iyan-Ehien are accorded special respect.
However, the First wife of Crown Prince, Princess Iroghama wasconfirmed the Obazuaye N’ Erie, while the second wife, Princess Iyayiota was installed as the Obazuwa N’ Erie and the third wife, Princess Ikpakpa conferred the Ohe N’ Erie.
Chief Osagie Utetenegiabe, the Obadagbonyi of Benin announced the titles in the presence of a mammoth crowd that witnessed the ceremony shortly after a colorful cultural display with the prince in a ccompany of his wives and members of the Isekhuen group cheered.
The title which was conferred on Edaiken’s wives in his Palace at Uselu in Egor Local Government had various dignitaries from every strata of life in attendance.
