2015: Tompolo Meets Delta Royal Fathers

Ex-Niger Delta Militant leader, High Chief Government Ekpemupolo (aka Tompolo), today met with a sea of traditional rulers from Delta Central Senatorial District, suing for peaceful 2015 general elections.
Apart from meeting with the monarchs from Delta Central Senatorial District, Tompolo also met separately with the Olu Warri, Atuwatse II, who is from Delta South Senatorial district of the State. He was meeting with the Olu of Warri for the first time.
A dependable source close to Tompolo told our correspondent that the meeting with Delta Central traditional rulers held behind closed doors in Jesse, Ethiope West local government area of the state and may not be unconnected with 2015 general elections.
According to the source who did not want his name in print, the closed door meeting with the royal fathers from Delta Central was very successful.
It was learnt that Tompolo, the Ebi-Ebidouwei of Ijaw nation, at the meeting in Jesse, urged the royal fathers to support the re-election of President Goodluck Jonathan and that of Senator Ifeanyi Okowa as Delta State Governor.
Our source said: “The meeting between Tompolo and traditional rulers from Delta Central was a huge success. At the meeting held behind closed door, Tompolo stressed the need for the people of Delta Central Senatorial District and the entire people of the state to support the re-election of President Jonathan and he also appealed to them to support the election of Senator Okowa as the next governor of the Delta state. The royal Fathers were very pleased with Tompolo for calling the meeting that was well attended.”
According to our source also: “Tompolo equally met with the Olu of Warri behind closed door in his palace in Warri. It was the first time he was meeting with the Olu of Warri and the meeting was also successful. At the meeting with the Warri monarch, Tompolo sued for cordial relationship between the Itsekiris and the Ijaws, saying they are one people that must live together for the betterment of all. He also urged support for the election of President Jonathan and Senator Okowa as next governor of Delta State. The Olu of Warri was excited with the visit of Tompolo.”
