2015: Isoko North Council boss sues for peace, cooperation, harmony
By our correspondent
The Executive Chairman of Isoko North Local Government Area, Hon. Emmanuel Egbabor has sued for peace, cooperation and harmony in the Area.
In his first address at the beginning of the year, Egbabor noted that without peace and security there cannot be any meaningful development in the Area. This he said due to the recent spate of assassinations witnessed in the Area.
In his words, “I urge the good people of Isoko North to work together to achieve peace, tranquility and security in our local government as the police alone cannot do it. I urge them to report all suspicious criminal activities to security agencies in a bid to rid the local government of criminals.
“We will continue to partner with the police, vigilantes and other security agencies in order to bring lasting solution to the unwarranted killings that have pervaded the local government in recent times.”
Continuing he said “”This year by his grace will be better than last year even as we will not relent on our promises to the good people of Isoko North. We will try as much as possible to provide more dividends of democracy within the limited resources available to the council.”
He however thanked the good people of Isoko North for their prayers and support which have contributed immensely to the success of his administration in the past two months.
“On behalf of my family and the entire Administrative staff members of Isoko North council, I thank God for successfully ushering us into this New Year 2015, our year of Comfort on all sides. I assure you all, things will definitely be better than last year.” he said.
