THE Principal of Good Shepherd Boys’ Secondary School, Isoko North Local Government Local Government Area of Delta State, Rev. Fr. Speaking recently on the occasion of the valedictory ceremony of the 2014/2015 academic session of the School, the Principal stated that the school has become a household name in Delta State and beyond over the years, making it clear that all efforts would be made to maintain the good reputation of the School.

“We are doggedly committed to high quality service delivery and customer satisfaction and this we hope to sustain over the years in the education sector”, he said.

Rev. Fr Orogun stated that the graduating students were being celebrated because they made it through the thick and thin of curricular and extracurricular strains of the noble institution, adding that,, “Many of their colleagues looked forward to be celebrated in this manner, but could not make it because they decided to compromise values and standards which they have over grown up with. We only celebrate meritorious success and it is on this note that I want to applaud these young boys who have distinguished themselves among their peers. We are proud of them.”

Urging the graduands to be good ambassadors of the school, the Principal noted that completion of Secondary School education was another milestone in their academic pursuit.

He said “They have every good reason to feel a sense of pride on this accomplishment though this is just a stepping stone to the pursuit of a career of their choice in the University, there they will be expected to be more focused, dedicated and purposeful.”

According to him “This is the stage you need to know who you are and discover yourself. Remember most great men discovered themselves at a very tender age as every achievement starts with a dream. Bill Clinton in his youthful days had a dream of becoming the President of United States of America and with hard work, determination, perseverance, he lived his dream.”

However, he said as you go in life, do not lean on your own understanding alone, also trust in the Lord and you will accomplish your goal. The race of life is a hectic one, many run on their legs without achieving anything but the wise run on their knees, it is my prayer that every request you make on your knees will be granted in Jesus Name.

“Good Shepherd over the years has become a household name within Oyede and its environs and we give kudos to you all for your patronage. We are doggedly committed to high quality service delivery and customer satisfaction and this we hope to sustain over the years in the educational industry. Am happy that our school is growing despite the challenges we had to contend with due to the bias of transition. Gradually all is fading away and the bright lights shine out tremendously on our school,” he stated.

The Principal added that “I sincerely welcome our older students, the alumni of this noble school who have been around since yesterday and had a wonderful evening with our staff and students. We assure you that your Alma will improve on her standards. Don’t mind what you here outside about your Alma-mater. They are the rumours of those who feel bitter about the school due to the school’s stance on great discipline that caught up with them. Some have vowed to fall the school with their propaganda, but I assure you that the gates of hell shall never prevail against your Alma-mater. You can only know what is trending if you ask questions and seek to know. You do not love the Good Shepherd School more that the Church that owns it or the Principal that runs it. All I ask you is to pray for your Alma mater as we rid of it everything that is set to corrupt values and make it a place of adventure and creativity, where everyone is loved and respected and all are deeply valued.”
