GROUP URGED NIGERIANS ON NEED OF GOOD GOVERNANCE

A political pressure group, Macaulay Political Vanguard (MPV) has urged Nigerians to increase public participation and awareness for the struggle and process of good governance, transparency and accountability.
Speaking recently at Owhelogbo, Isoko North Local Government Area, the Chairman of the group, Comrade Victor Ubogu said that the group is to enlighten the populace on the importance of good governance, transparency and accountability in local, state and federal governments.
According to him, the group aim is to advocate for political stability and equal opportunity for even development in Nigeria, “Increase public participation and awareness for the struggle and process of good governance.”
While expressing gratitude to members for finding time to attend the meeting, he explained that MPV is a political forum for good governance, inaugurated December 24th, 2013 and urged Deltans in particular and Nigerians in general to arise for a new dawn.
Comrade Ubogu said that “The driving force behind the creation of the forum is to provide a veritable platform for good governance, promoting the social, economic and political consciousness of our people, bringing to the fore, developmental challenges confronting the mother land.”
In pursuit of our common goal of developing our people and communities, he advised the executives and members to work as a team in order to move the forum to greater heights, assuring that Macaulay Political Vanguard would excel, promised not to betray the confidence reposed in them.
Also speaking, Mr. Solomon Efekdoma, popularly known as ‘Escobar’ said leadership is all about working together as a team in order to achieve a set goal and wish the Executives and Members of Macaulay Political Vanguard success while pledging his unalloyed loyalty.
