The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Caretaker Committee in Delta State has extended warm Christmas greetings to Deltans, party members and well-wishers, urging unity, love and renewed commitment to the development of the state.
In a Christmas message signed by the Chairman of the PDP Caretaker Committee, Prof. Sylvester Monye, the party said the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ provides an opportunity for reflection on the values of peace, goodwill and togetherness that define the season.
Prof. Monye called on residents of the state to use the festive period to strengthen bonds of harmony and collective purpose, noting that unity remains critical to building a more prosperous and cohesive Delta State.
Reflecting on the outgoing year, the PDP Chairman described 2025 as a period marked by challenges and resilience, stressing that despite difficulties, the party has remained committed to the ideals of good governance, sustainable development and social justice.
He acknowledged the struggles faced by many citizens but expressed optimism about the future, attributing the party’s sustained momentum to the dedication of its members and the collective strength of the people of Delta State.
According to him, the PDP remains steadfast in advancing the vision of a united, peaceful and prosperous Delta, while upholding the principles of equity, justice and inclusivity.
He assured that the party would continue to work towards meeting the needs and aspirations of all Deltans and positioning the state as a model of progress within the Niger Delta.
Prof. Monye concluded by wishing Deltans a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year, praying that the season brings renewed hope, closer family ties and a brighter future for the state.
