Tantita Renovates, Equipped A 250-Seater Sologha Ekpemupolo CBT Centre In Delta Community

Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) has renovated, equipped, commissioned and handed over a 250 capacity seater Computer Based Test(CBT) Centre in Ogulagha Community of Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Commissioning and handing over the Sologha Ekpemupolo CBT Centre built in memory of the late mother of High Chief Government Oweizede Ekpemupolo, Chairman, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL), Engr. Kestin Pondi, Managing Director, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited (TSSNL) disclosed that Tantita had assisted the efforts of Hon. Julius Pondi, Member, House of Representatives representing Burutu Federal Constituency to make sure the facility which is up to date becomes functional in line with standards set by the Joint Admission Matriculation Board(JAMB).
Engr. Pondi who was represented by Daisy Jaja, Administration Manager, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited noted that the facility was upgraded with solar panels to make sure that electricity issues are solved, a toilet for easy convenience and a very conducive learning atmosphere with Air conditioners.
According to Engr.Pondi ” this is our project, it’s very dear to us especially for the youths and the children coming out of secondary schools. Education does not have age limit, so even the elderly ones can still desire to go back to school and use the facilities.”
Engr. Pondi urged the people of Ogulagha Community particularly the youths,the children, the parents, the teachers, to make sure that the facility is put to adequate use as well protected from being vandalized so that the project would serve the purpose it was meant to serve.
He added, “before now, our children travel long distances to write JAMB examination, they pass through harrowing inconveniences to get admission into higher institutions, now it’s a thing of the past. Hon. Pondi brought this to help our children and Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited keyed into it by upgrading it with state-of-the-art facilities to help our children sit for JAMB examination with ease “
According to the Managing Director of Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited, “the name of the place is Sologha Ekpemupolo CBT JAMB Center. It is a standing legacy for her memory. So as we are all family members, I pray that we take our time, our efforts to make sure that this place stands the test of time, so that generations yet unborn can use it and hear the story about the woman that the place was named after, because I know that she was a great woman as well.
Giving a brief history of the Centre, Victor Isereke, Operations Manager of the Centre disclosed that the place was established by Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in 2012 as a Cyber cafe which helps people of the community to get connected to internet services back then but with the advent of mobile cell phones, Hon. Julius Pondi decided to put it to a much more better use for the education of our children .
He added that JAMB standard is so high that it requires a yearly inspection, possible upgrade and optimal performance of all equipments, hence Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited came to the rescue with the state of the art facilities for the current year approval.
According to Isereke, “Hon. Pondi approached Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited to as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), came to upgrade the Centre and they took it upon themselves to do the thorough maintenance, provision of 250 brand new computers and upgrade of the Centre. In his remarks, Hon. Tonkiri Apu, Senior Legislative Aide to Hon. Julius Pondi commended Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited for upgrading the CBT Centre, he appealed to the people of the community to protect the facilities against vandals and thieves so that the children can continue to benefit educationally and otherwise.
In his speech, Daniel Okebor, Chairman, Caretaker Committee, Ogulaghan Community, on behalf of the community,expressed his appreciation to Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited for the kind gesture, he assured that they would ensure the project is protected and put to good use.
Students from Word of Faith Group of Schools, Ogulagha and Basic Principle Dominion School, Ogulagha were in attendance during the commissioning ceremony.
