In a heartfelt statement released to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence Day, Dr. Michael Tidi, the immediate past Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, has called on all Nigerians to embrace unity despite the numerous challenges facing the nation.
Stressing the importance of solidarity, Dr. Tidi emphasized that the strength of the country lies in its diversity. “As we celebrate our independence, it is crucial that we come together as one people, transcending our differences,” he stated.
Dr. Tidi acknowledged the pressing issues such as economic hardships, security concerns, and political instability but encouraged citizens to focus on collective efforts to overcome these obstacles.
“Unity is our most powerful tool in confronting these challenges. Together, we can build a brighter future for Nigeria,” he added.
“The call for national cohesion, especially in a time when divisions seem pronounced, I want to remind all that, despite difficulties, Nigerians have the capacity to unite and foster progress.
“As the nation reflects on its journey over the past 64 years, I appeal for unity which stands as a clarion call for all citizens to work collaboratively towards a prosperous Nigeria,” Tidi added.
