Concerned Ute-Okpu Elites, a socio-cultural groupon Ute-Okpu, Ika North East Local Government Area of Delta State has congratulated Mr. Monday Odigwe on his emergence as the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Chairmanship flag bearer for Ika North East Local Government Area in the forthcoming local council election.
This is contained in a statement signed by the Chairman, Concerned Ute-Okpu Elites, Comr. Michael Ikeogwu, immediate past Chairman, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Delta State Council, ,he said that the emergence of Mr. Odigwe as the flag bearer for Ika North East Local Council has demonstrated deep rooted practice of the party to always go for experience, competence and commitment to the party.
The group expressed gratitude to the PDP family for zoning the slot to Ute-Okpu, a fast growing Kingdom adding that it has also demonstrated that the party recognizes the contributions of Ute-Okpu Kingdom to her electoral victories in the past.
Comr. Ikeogwu also expressed his gratitude to Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, immediate past Governor of Delta State for providing his fatherly guidance that engendered a seamless exercise that has been accepted by all.
The group also praised the leadership disposition of PDP stakeholders and leaders in the local government area for aligning with the choice of Mr. Odigwe as the flag bearer just as the group expressed special appreciation to all the political leaders from Ute-Okpu for speaking with one voice.
Accordng to the group, “the choice of Mr.. Odigwe did not come to us as a surprise. We have implicit confidence in his ability to deliver on schedule as the Chairmanship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Ika North East Local Government Area.
” We know that Mr. Odigwe, who is the current Secretary of Concerned Ute-Okpu Elites, has the capacity, the wisdom, competence and ability to deliver. We are confident that he will bring his wealth of experience to bear in the assignment that awaits him. Once again, congratulations. “
The group then called on Mr.. Odigwe to ensure that he carries all those who aspired for the same position along just as it admonished those who did not make it to join forces with him in the spirit of good sportsmanship to ensure his victory in the forthcoming local council elections.
