DTHA: We Lost Two Sitting, Non – Sitting Members In Seven Months – Uroye, Michael Tidi
…The vacuum Omovie left, would be difficult to fill, Tidi laments
The member representing Warri South Constituency 1 in Delta State House of Assembly, Hon. Augustine Uroye, says the State House of Assembly, lost two sitting and non – sitting members within the last seven months, adding, “The only thing God didn’t share with man, is the power of death and life.”
Hon. Uroye, made the declaration Saturday August 14, when he and the Chairmen of Warri South and Uvwie Local Government Areas, Dr. Michael Tidi and Hon. Ramson Onoyake, respectively, led members of the ruling political class of the twin councils to Ugborikoko in Uvwie Local Government Area, on a condolence visit to the family of Late Hon. Dennis Omovie, who passed on earlier in the week.
While stating that the departed Hon. Dennis Omovie, lived a successful life, Hon. Uroye, noted: “We owe him projection of his legacies and give him a befitting burial.”
Chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr. Michael Tidi, who spoke to newsmen in a brief chat, after signing the condolence register, stated: “May his (Hon. Omovie) soul rest in peace. He was a gentleman to the core. His contribution to Warri South, can not be over emphasised. The vacuum he left, would be difficult to fill.”
Chairman of Uvwie Local Government Area, Hon. Ramson Onoyake, also spoke briefly during the visit.
Fresh Angle International can report that Chief Michael Imiruaye, who spoke through Mr. Emmanuel Omovie, younger brother of the departed ex – lawmaker, received the Warri South and Uvwie delegation on behalf of the Omovie family.
