EBRUMEDE POLICE OFFICERS ARREST OTRES FAST FOOD SUPERVISOR OVER ALLEGED STOLEN PHONE IN DELTA

A week ago after a victim was attacked by armed robbers in Warri, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) at Ebrumede Division in Uvwie Local Government Area of Delta State, CSP Anietie Eyoh has recovered an Infinite Hot 6 Phone from one Shola Ajose.
At the Division Headquarters, the Police boss disclosed that the suspect, Shola Ajose who is the Supervisor to Otres Fast Food, said to be owned by the wife of the former Delta State Governor, Deaconess Roli Uduaghan was arrested in connection with the phone which was recovered through modern scientific technology.
He said that the person in connection unknowingly bought the phone valued at about Seven Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N7,500) from a friend.
National Reformer Newspaper learnt that the suspected armed robbers attacked one Mr. Fredrick Dolor in a commercial tricycle, robbed him of #96,000 in cash and Infinite Hot 6 mobile phone valued at #48,000.
Following a complaints by the victim, the Ebrumede Divisional Police Officer, CSP Anieteh Eyoh and his men swung into action, tracked the phone through the IMEI number which led to the arrest of the suspect.
The suspect, said he bought the phone from his friend at #7,500 out of pity since his friend told him he wants to travel and has no money on him.
According to him, “I didn’t know the phone was stolen. When I bought the phone, I didn’t see any pictures inside when I bought the phone.”
The suspect, Shola Ajose promised to take the Police to the residence of his friend who sold the phone to him, “I go carry una go.”
Speaking to newsmen, Mr. Fredrick Dolor, who is the victim and owner of said phone narrated how he was robbed that fateful day by the robbers on his way home.
In his words, “I bordered a Keke around Okere market barely a week ago. These said robbers entered the Keke and in the process, they robbed me of #96,000 in cash and my infinite hot 6 phone. Since then, I have not been able to make or receive calls until the Ebrumede Police Divisional tracked and arrested the suspect.”
Dolor said stories on thefts of mobile phones from on streets, buses and kekes are common news. What is rarely heard, however, is news of victims getting back their stolen cell phones, commended the Nigeria Police Force especially Ebrumede Police Divisional Officer, CSP Anietie Eyoh for their gallantry in ensuring that his phone was tracked and recovered.
The Ebrumede Divisional Police Officer, CSP Anietie Eyoh said “When we tracked the phone, we got the forensic printout of the tracking and arrested the buyer, here he is.”
The DPO assures the public of better service delivery and promised to sustain quick response to distress calls.
Contacted, the Substantive Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Onome Onovwakpoyeya said, “I have been able to confirm it. Yes, it’s true that the suspect was arrested in connection with the stolen phone.”
